Blount is exactly what sports don't need. It's classless and shows younger fans that this type of behavior is acceptable. That type of conduct anywhere, much less on national tv, would result in an arrest and penalties. It's disappointing that Oregon didn't respond more quickly because Oregon is like many other schools (BSU, VT, etc.) that want national attention and respect. The lack of response makes them take a huge step back- I really don't want to watch them any longer no matter how cool their uniforms are.

That segment about the Hokies entering the field to Enter Sandman gave me CHILLS...... was driving south on 41, knowing all the other drivers thought me absolutely out of my mind..... bouncing in the driver's seat, screaming at the radio.... I remember that SO well.... no one can appreciate that without going to Lane Stadium. I've been in Blacksburg many times as you know, and there is NO feeling like that in college football. When the Hokies take the field, there is an electricity that cannot be described, but can only be experienced. I will point out however, the feeling is universal for those who know. Watching my Hokies on tv when we can't go to the game...... jack the sound system up when the Hokies take the field..... EVERYONE in the living room is off their butts, on their feet, all bouncing and yelling for the HOKIES..... it's a wonder the condo association hasn't filed formal complaints.... I'll experience it when the Hokies play NC this year, and can only hope they do the same when we go to Atlanta to *beat* the Crimson Ripple (can't say tide, they're weak.) To me baseball is still way more legit and enjoyable than any "reality tv" or any other trash on tv (except on Wink of course) I choose to enjoy baseball now for what it is now. As to the poll question, I think that the strike was worse for baseball. There's nothing more damaging to a professional sport than a work stoppage. But I also think it's time we stopped talking about how damaged the sport is and just start enjoying it for what it is - entertainment. I understand that steroids in baseball is an interesting topic to talk about on a slow day and it's "cool" right now to criticize the sport even if you don't know what you're talking about, but to me it's still a beautiful sport to watch, full of nuances, strategy, and athleticism. It's very simple for me - I love the sport because I love watching it played on the highest level. I love the crack of the bat, a diving shortstop throwing out a runner from his knees, and a well-executed sacrifice bunt. Of course steroids and HGH has been a big problem over the last decade and I'm glad baseball is taking steps to clean the sport, but any subjective viewer can see that the problem has not only been in baseball, but in all sports. So why dwell on the negative things that happened instead of the great players, teams, and games that are happening now? Is it really that important to compare stats between eras? There are too many variables! It can't be accurately done with or without steroids.

The Cavs/ Magic series has been close because the Magic present matchup problems at several positions. I'm a real big fan of your show. I just wanted to comment the NBA playoffs. Doesn't it seem like the Kobe and the Lakers are destined to play the Cavs and Lebron? I know the NBA must be literally drooooling over this matchup. But I wanted to comment on this game 2 of the Lakers and Rockets. There is no way the NBA should have allowed Kobe to play game 3 (and I am a big Kobe fan). The NBA rules state that if an elbow is purposely thrown above the chest, that the player will get suspended. Obviously, if you look at the replay, Kobe knew Artest was there and knew he had his chance to throw a free shot at Artest. Artest and Battier seem to be frustrating Kobe with their defensive and physical play. These type of players always have given Kobe problems in the past. Lets look at Prince, in the NBA finals when the Lakers played the huge underdog at that time, the Pistons. Prince really kept Kobe in check and won that series for Detroit. Lets also look at the Celtics, when they Pierce guard Kobe. Kobe was frustrated all series as he had to work extra extra hard to just get any points. As we all know, Boston won that series against LA because Paul's play. Lets also take a look Suns beat the Lakers with Raja Bell - who Kobe also found a way to give a close line in that series without getting suspended. The Suns beat the Lakers a couple of years ago because of Bells physical play against Kobe. Now, Kobe is probably the best player in the NBA, but don't you think he seems to be somewhat of a Diva when he has to play these physical guards who guard in a 7 game series? Jordan always found a way to expose these type of players, but they seem to be getting the best of Kobe. Tonight is a huge game for the Lakers. Fisher being out is big, as they now have to rely on Shannon brown and Farmar to bring the ball up, and I think they have great problems against the all of a sudden great guard play of the Rockets who feature Wafer and Brooks. The spread is 1 and the Lakers are favorite, but the Rockets know this is the swing game of the series. And Kobe must find a way to come up big tonight. When all said and done, Kobe must respond to the physical play of these guards who defend him. And like I said I am big Kobe fan, and I think he finds a way to win tonight. I dont know or why, I just know if he is going to go down in history as the top 3 ever, he has to find a way to score.
